Girls...same rules as Gremlins?

Ok.....so today when I got home from work I looked in the refrigerator to find something to eat.  I found two left over Wendy's nuggets (yes just two) and decided to eat those with my Chinese food from earlier.  Weird combination huh? Well, I enjoyed it. After I got my meal all microwaved and ready to go, I was flipping threw channels, heading toward King of Queens when I stopped on some show called How I Met Your Mother.

Not sure what I missed, (it was about 6 minutes into the episode), but it was two white dudes having a conversation. One guy asked, "How do you get a chick to NOT be your girlfriend?"  His friend responds "Girls have the same rules as gremlins."  This statement alone got my attention, I couldn't wait to hear the explanation.

He continued,
"1. Never get them wet.  Never let them shower at your house.
2. Never talk to them in the sunlight. Never see them during the day.
3. Never feed them after midnight.  They should never stay the night and definitely NEVER have breakfast with them EVER!!"
I died laughing.  As silly as his presentation was, there is definitely some truth to this.  If you never stay the night, never see each other during the day and have never had breakfast together, 10 times out of 10, (yes 10 times out of 10), you are a certified BOOTAY CALL! LOL

Then, I changed the channel...LOL

Fabulyse's Fancy Feet

Anybody who knows me knows I love surfin' the web or wandering through cute little boutiques and malls looking for unique pieces.  I don't want to have the same stuff everyone else in St. Louis is rockin' and I REALLY don't like spending an arm and a leg on the things I decide to purchase.

Just about once a week on one of my off days I spend about 4-5 hours shopping.  Sometimes I spend a decent amount of money and sometimes I spend less than $50 and come home with some real Fabulyse finds! I am a bargain shopper! I can dig through some clearance for hours.  This is why I shop alone.  Social shopping is okay sometimes if I'm shopping for a certain event or need an opinion on something.  But for the most part, if I find a piece and I create my own vision of how I'm gonna work it, someone else's opinion normally will not sway me.  I'll try just about anything once (fashion wise) except something that will make me look fat (sweater dresses, certain blazers, cropped jackets).  Know your body type ladies, every trend is not for everyBODY! Trust me on that one!

I was flipping through some sites one of my soror/followers mentioned on twitter last night and I came across these Pencil Me in Flats (http://www.modcloth.com/ $97.99).
My initial thought was what the hell? These are the funkiest, coolest little flats I've ever seen.  No, I wouldn't walk the streets in these bad boys but I think they are pretty fantabulochic!

Lately on my weekly shopping trips and while web-surfing, I have acquired a new found love for detailing on the heel of shoes.....embellishments, tassels, zippers, rousching.....any and all of the aforementioned!

These are a few finds that I am in love with, but have yet to purchase! Ugh! I hate when I notice a shoe and I don't jump on it, then it sells out, or even worse, every hoodrat in the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area gets something like them.....

THIS!! The Lorissa Peeptoe Spiked Heels by Sam Edelman         (shopakira.com $199) is probably the only white shoe I will purchase.....before Labor Day or not! I'm not really a fan of white dress shoes.  If you want an easy way to cheapen your look, you can start with a white shoe. But this baby is bad! Bad baby! Bad baby! LOL!  I'm silly ....  I saw this bad baby in black suede about a year ago and I almost lost it! I fell in love with it! My mother looked at me like I had a third eye when I showed her these.  She said they look like daggers or something is coming out the back.  I don't really care for the word "dagger" per say but I love the edgy feel I get from this shoe. You can't beat it.  But you must know what to put with it.  I say keep it sleek and simple.  Skin tight skinnies and a crisp white button-up shirt with a nice metallic statement necklace and large stud earrings can do the trick.  I don't know why I can picture a fitted white leather tube dress white these as well.  Cute summer look......But heaven knows I can't pull that off. Sabrina and Shante' (my twins) would kill me if I tried to stuff them in something white....let alone something leather.

This next shoe I found is a sexy one! This Jesenia Fringe Pump in Blush or Black (shopnastygal.com $110) can be brought from the office, to the club, then to the bedroom (not that I wear pumps in the bedroom, I'm just sayin;) with ease. I love these!

The fringe on the back of this shoe is to die for! These pumps will help to elongate your legs while adding that extra detail that we all need to complete our ensembles (without over doing it).

I know I will own these soon, so the only question I have to worry about answering next is "The blush, or the black? Blush or Black?"  I'm leaning toward the blush honestly.....I could go another year without purchasing another black shoe. (I most likely will not though :))

These next ones are quite unique to say the least.  It reminds me of a pump from the 70's era with a fabric bouquet attached to the back! But I can't lie, these shoes make me smile.  What matters more than that? I can't think of anything.

Words Can't Express Heel in Red 137.99 http://www.modcloth.com/

I leave you with a photo that one of my twitter followers posted.  Not sure who designed these but I'm assuming they are Alexander McQueen's...very McQueen-esque. :)
